Refund policy

Returns

Return requests must be submitted in writing within 3 business days of confirmed delivery.

To qualify for a return, the item must:

  • Be unused and in its original condition.

  • Be free of odors, stains, pet hair, damage, or signs of installation.

  • Be returned in its original packaging or equivalent protective packaging.

All returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee, which will be deducted from the refund amount.

All costs associated with the return, including shipping, insurance, packaging, and any carrier-related fees, are the responsibility of the customer.

Customers are strongly encouraged to insure all return shipments. Turkish Rug Co. is not responsible for items that are lost, damaged, or delayed during return transit.

Refunds will be issued only after the returned item has been received and inspected. Any refund will be processed to the original method of payment, less any applicable restocking fees and shipping charges.


Return Authorization Required

All returns require prior written authorization.

Unauthorized returns will be refused and returned to sender at the sender’s expense.


Inspection & Condition

All returned items will be inspected upon receipt.

If the item is returned in altered, damaged, used, or unsellable condition, we reserve the right to:

  • Deny the refund

  • Issue a partial refund

  • Deduct restoration, cleaning, or repair fees

Because our rugs are handwoven wool products, minor variations in size, dye lot, and tone are not considered defects.

Color differences due to screen settings, lighting, or monitor calibration are not grounds for return under damage claims.


Damages & Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery.

If your item arrives damaged or incorrect:

  • You must notify us within 48 hours

  • Provide clear photographs of the packaging and product

  • Retain all packaging materials

Failure to report damage within 48 hours may result in denial of claim.

Shipping damage claims must comply with carrier requirements.


Final Sale

Items not reported for return within 3 business days of confirmed delivery are considered final sale.

Custom orders, special orders, discounted items, and clearance items are final sale and not eligible for return unless defective.


Refund Processing

Refunds are issued to the original payment method after:

  • The item is received

  • Inspection is completed

  • The return is approved

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Refunds may take 5–10 business days to appear depending on your financial institution.


Refused Deliveries

If a shipment is refused without prior authorization:

  • All shipping fees

  • Return shipping charges

  • Carrier penalties

Will be deducted from the refund.


Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Initiating a chargeback without contacting us to resolve the matter may delay or void refund eligibility.

We reserve the right to provide transaction records, delivery confirmation, photographs, and communications to financial institutions to dispute improper chargebacks.
